Classic Egg Races
Having a party or a picnic? This classic game will have everyone laughing. All you need is a spoon and a hard-boiled for each brave participant. Participants hold the spoon in their mouths and place the hard-boiled egg in the spoon, and then race each other across the finish line. Participants who drop their eggs have to go back to the start line. And the bonus is that hard-boiled eggs make a great snack after the race!
A New Twist on Egg Painting
You have heard of painting eggs, but what about colouring them with crayons? This cool and easy idea is lots of fun and delivers beautiful and unique results. Just boil some eggs in a mixture of vinegar and water for 10 minutes and then turn off the burner. Take one egg out (parents only please, it’s hot!) leaving the others in the water to stay warm until you are ready to colour them. After letting your egg cool on the counter for 10 minutes, hold it in a paper towel, and draw on it with a regular crayon. The warm egg will melt the crayon creating a wonderful, unique design. Lift the egg carefully from the towel while your drawing so it doesn’t smudge, and then let it set for about 30 minutes.

Bouncing Eggs?
We all know eggs are fragile. So how could you make one bounce? Well…just remove the part that breaks. First place a hard boiled egg in vinegar for a couple of days. The shell will dissolve, and you’ll be left with something that resembles…you guessed it…a bouncy ball. Wash the egg carefully (it still is fragile) and then just drop it onto a flat surface from a low height. The egg should bounce. But be careful not to drop it from too high! See how high you can drop it from before it breaks!
